\n March 1, BPN<\/span>.<\/b> The Prosecutor’s Office of the Hrodna region has sent a criminal case against Mikalaj A\u016dtuchovi\u010d and “other persons” to the court, the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reports.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t It is not specified to which court the case was transferred.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, A\u016dtuchovi\u010d and other defendants, “along with many other acts, committed acts of terrorism in order to influence decision-making by authorities, obstruct political activity, intimidate the population, and destabilize public order.”\n<\/p>\n

\n\t It is still unknown under what specific articles A\u016dtuchovi\u010d is charged. He is facing a third prison term. It is also unclear whether other defendants in his case, some of whom are tried under Article 289 (act of terrorism) of the Criminal Code, would be tried together with him.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t A\u016dtuchovi\u010d and 12 other people were detained between December 2020 and January 2021. The KGB claimed that the detainees were involved in terrorism.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t On December 25, 2020, Aliaksandr Luka\u0161enka, during a visit to the Minsk Children’s Infectious Diseases Hospital, mentioned the case: “We recently detained A\u016dtuchovi\u010d’s group. These are dangerous bastards. Now we’ve uncovered all their contacts. They were transporting tons of weapons through Ukraine.”\n<\/p>\n
