Hundar\u2019s wife said that her husband was singing songs, but it remains unclear why A\u016dtuchovi\u010d was removed.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t A\u016dtuchovi\u010d is charged under ten criminal articles, including terrorism and high treason. His trial, together with 12 other people, including Hundar, started at Hrodna Prison No. 1 on May 18. Judge Maksim Filata\u016d, who imposed a sentence on political activist Vito\u013ed A\u0161urok who died at the \u0160klo\u016d prison in the Mahilio\u016d region in 2021, presides over the proceedings. A\u016dtuchovi\u010d and Hundar had their motions to replace the judge rejected.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Viasna noted that only two of the defendants\u2019 family members were allowed to attend the first hearing, but state-controlled media journalists were present.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t A\u016dtuchovi\u010d and Liubov Rezanovi\u010d were kept in a separate cell for especially dangerous suspects. A\u016dtuchovi\u010d asked the judge to transfer Rezanovi\u010d to a normal cell, but the court rejected his motion. She was said to be in need of medical attention because of a spike in blood pressure.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Anton Me\u013echer rejected a lawyer\u2019s services and decided to defend himself.
