June 19, BPN.<\/span><\/b> The Belarusian military is fortifying an area in the Homiel region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces\u2019 General Staff said<\/a> on June 19.<\/p>\n

\u201cCertain units of the Belarusian Armed Forces perform tasks to cover the Belarusian-Ukrainian border, fortify an area in the Homiel region and conduct electronic reconnaissance,\u201d a spokesman for the General Staff, Oleksandr Shtupun, said.<\/p>\n

On February 24, Russia started what it called a special military operation in Ukraine. Authorities in Minsk deny Belarusian army troops\u2019 involvement in combat operations on the Russian side.
