\n August 22, BPN<\/span>.<\/b> Alaksandr \u0141uka\u0161enka’s regime, as the “Kremlin’s only ally and accomplice to military aggression and terrorism,” will face a response from NATO should Russia provoke an accident at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant (NPP), Pavie\u0142 \u0141atu\u0161ka, head of the National Anti-Crisis Management (NAM) and a member of the opposition’s transition cabinet, said in a video address.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t “If anyone is still wondering from where Belarus could be attacked, the answer is clear – from the ‘Russian world’. It’s preparing a second Chernobyl for all of us, only tenfold,” the politician warned. “Only an immoral person can support Russia in the war that it unleashed. Only an immoral person can be an ally of a terrorist country and an accomplice to its nuclear terrorism.”\n<\/p>\n

\n\t Russian troops seized the Zaporizhzhya NPP in early March, shortly after the invasion of Ukraine. Kyiv claims that the invaders planted mines and placed heavy weapons at the plant, while Russia denies it. The sides regularly accuse each other of shelling the NPP.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t On February 24, Russia started a full-scale war against Ukraine. Authorities in Minsk deny Belarusian army troops\u2019 involvement in combat operations on the Russian side. However, Belarus allowed Russian troops and weapons to move freely through the country, use its airspace, refuel and store military equipment and attack Ukraine from its territory.\n<\/p>\n
