{"id":43467,"date":"2022-08-24T16:42:51","date_gmt":"2022-08-24T13:42:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/api.pozirk.online\/articles\/poll-more-than-half-of-ukrainians-negative-about-belarusians\/"},"modified":"2026-02-24T20:29:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T20:29:13","slug":"poll-more-than-half-of-ukrainians-negative-about-belarusians","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/43467\/","title":{"rendered":"Poll: more than half of Ukrainians negative about Belarusians"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>August 24, <span>BPN.<\/span><\/b> More than half of Ukrainian citizens have a negative attitude towards Belarusians, Ukrainian pollster Rating has revealed.<\/p>\n<p> According to a survey it conducted in mid-August, 52 percent of respondents voiced a negative attitude towards Belarusians (33 percent in April 2022; 4 percent in April 2020), 34 percent were neutral, and 10 percent were positive.<\/p>\n<p> The survey involved adults from all over the country, except for the occupied territories and areas without mobile phone connection.<\/p>\n<p>In another survey released on June 23, Rating found that&nbsp;85 percent took&nbsp;a \u201ccompletely negative\u201d attitude toward&nbsp;Alaksandr \u0141uka\u0161enka, and 10 percent were \u201crather negative.\u201d Just two&nbsp;percent of respondents chose the \u201ccompletely positive\u201d and \u201crather positive\u201d options.<\/p>\n<p> On February 24, Russia started a full-scale war against Ukraine. Authorities in Minsk deny Belarusian army troops\u2019 involvement in combat operations on the Russian side. However, Belarus allowed Russian troops and weapons to move freely through the country, use its airspace, refuel and store military equipment and attack Ukraine from its territory.<\/p>\n<p> A 20,000-strong grouping of Russian forces crossed into Ukraine from Belarus at the outset of the war, Alaksandr \u0141uka\u0161enka told <span>AFP <\/span>in an interview on July 21.
