{"id":43522,"date":"2022-08-29T17:24:30","date_gmt":"2022-08-29T14:24:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/api.pozirk.online\/articles\/labor-movement-case-sent-to-court\/"},"modified":"2026-02-24T20:29:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T20:29:13","slug":"labor-movement-case-sent-to-court","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/43522\/","title":{"rendered":"Labor Movement case sent to court"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>August 29, <span>BPN.<\/span><\/b> The Office of the Homiel Region Prosecutor has referred to the Homiel Regional Court the criminal case against 10 activists of Rabo\u010dy Ruch (Labor Movement), which in 2020-21 included former and active employees of industrial enterprises, the Prosecutor General\u2019s Office reports.<\/p>\n<p> The accused are: Siarhiej \u0160elest,&nbsp;U\u0142adzimir \u017dura\u016dka,&nbsp;Andrej Pahiery\u0142a,&nbsp;Hanna Ab\u0142ab,&nbsp;Alaksandr Ha\u0161nika\u016d,&nbsp;Siarhiej Dziuba,&nbsp;Ihar Minc,&nbsp;Valancin Cieranievi\u010d,&nbsp;Siarhiej \u0160amie\u0107ka and&nbsp;Alaksandr Kap\u0161ul.<\/p>\n<p> All of them are charged with treason, creating an extremist formation or participating in it. \u0160elest, \u017dura\u016dka and Pahiery\u0142a are also charged&nbsp;with defamation. Kap\u0161ul is accused of&nbsp;illegal handling of firearms.<\/p>\n<p> All of them except \u0160amie\u0107ka were recognized as political prisoners by the human rights community.<\/p>\n<p> The authorities declared Rabo\u010dy Ruch an extremist formation.<\/p>\n<p> The Committee for the State Security (KGB) said that \u201cin addition to committing crimes of an extremist nature, members of this formation carried out illegal activities to collect and then transfer to a foreign the state, a foreign organization and their representatives, including the United States\u2019 and Lithuania\u2019s special services, of restricted official information regarding Belarus\u2019 business entities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> It claimed that \u201cthe transmitted information directly related to methods taken to circumvent restrictive measures (sanctions) and ways to counter these methods.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition, \u201cindividual members of the extremist formation planned to block production activities of Grodno Azot and BMZ-UKH BMK in order to disrupt these companies\u2019 work and damage or destroy their property.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>August 29, BPN.
