The case is being heard by Judge Via\u010das\u0142a\u016d Tulejka, known for his harsh decisions.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t The defendants are <span>BelaPAN<\/span> CEO and editor in chief Iryna Le\u016d\u0161yna, former CEO Zmitser Nava\u017ey\u0142a\u016d, former deputy director and media manager Andrej Alaksandra\u016d and his wife Iryna Z\u0142obina.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t They are accused of creating an extremist group (Alaksandra\u016d, Le\u016d\u0161yna, Nava\u017ey\u0142a\u016d), treason (Alaksandra\u016d, Zlobina), tax evasion (Alaksandra\u016d, Nava\u017ey\u0142a\u016d), and organization of actions grossly disturbing public order (Alaksandra\u016d and Z\u0142obina, who paid protesters\u2019 fines). All four were recognized as political prisoners by human rights groups.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Alaksandra\u016d and Z\u0142obina were arrested in January 2021, Le\u016d\u0161yna and Nava\u017ey\u0142a\u016d, in August 2021.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>September 12, BPN.
