{"id":43822,"date":"2022-09-21T10:43:56","date_gmt":"2022-09-21T07:43:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/api.pozirk.online\/articles\/oppositions-defense-chief-analysts-among-those-stripped-of-ranks-by-lukasenka\/"},"modified":"2026-02-24T20:29:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T20:29:13","slug":"oppositions-defense-chief-analysts-among-those-stripped-of-ranks-by-lukasenka","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/43822\/","title":{"rendered":"Opposition\u2019s defense chief, analysts among those stripped of ranks by \u0141uka\u0161enka"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n <b>September 21, <span>BPN<\/span>. <\/b>The National Legal Internet Portal has published Alaksandr \u0141uka\u0161enka&#8217;s edict that stripped 83 persons of their military and civil ranks and related benefits, including pension.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t It has come into force on the publication.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t The list includes Valer Sacha\u0161\u010dyk, currently in charge of defense and national security in opposition\u2019s transition cabinet; his son Alaksandr; military expert Jahor Lebiadok; security expert Andrej Parotnika\u016d; athlete Kry\u015bcina Cimano\u016dskaja; and D\u017amitryj D\u017amitryje\u016d, former photographer of the independent newspaper <span>Novy \u010cas<\/span>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Aleh Taler\u010dyk, former employee of Prosecutor General&#8217;s Office, currently representing the BYPOL association of former security forces, lost his rank of justice counsel.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t ByPol described the edict as a &#8220;favorite element of public intimidation&#8221; and &#8220;another act of revenge by the ambitious dictator.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Ja\u016dhien Babak and Natalla \u0141a\u0161\u010d, former prosecutors, are also on the list. Babak is serving a four-year prison term for participating in protests and social media posts. \u0141a\u0161\u010d, arrested in August, allegedly shared information about her colleagues&#8217; private lives.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t \u0141uka\u0161enka had signed a similar edict in May 2021, stripping 86 people of their ranks and related benefits, including BYPOL head Alaksandar Azara\u016d, opposition activist U\u0142adzimir Barada\u010d, United Civic Party leader Mika\u0142aj Kaz\u0142o\u016d and others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>September 21, BPN.
