{"id":43854,"date":"2022-09-22T22:21:08","date_gmt":"2022-09-22T19:21:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/api.pozirk.online\/articles\/belarus-says-interested-in-russia-ukraine-peace-talks\/"},"modified":"2026-02-24T20:29:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T20:29:13","slug":"belarus-says-interested-in-russia-ukraine-peace-talks","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/43854\/","title":{"rendered":"Belarus says interested in Russia-Ukraine peace talks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>September 22, <span>BPN.<\/span><\/b> Belarusian Foreign Minister U\u0142adzimir Makiej has told the UN Security Council that his country would be willing to facilitate Russian-Ukrainian peace talks.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cMinsk, as a direct neighbor, is interested in participating in Russia-Ukraine talks on a strategic peace settlement, and is ready to create all the required conditions for their continuation, including on Belarusian soil,\u201d he said, as <a href=\"https:\/\/mfa.gov.by\/press\/statements\/c8af27b0436f0dec.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">quoted<\/a> by the Belarusian foreign ministry website.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cThe final agreements should also take into account the interests of Belarus,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p> He continued by saying a smear campaign was organized against Minsk to present it as the aggressor\u2019s accomplice or even party to the conflict. <\/p>\n<p> He stressed that \u201cnot a single Belarusian soldier or piece of hardware were sent to Ukraine to participate in hostilities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> \u201cBelarus has never supported war. But we are not traitors! We have allied obligations [to Russia], and firmly follow and will continue to follow the spirit and letter of the international treaties to which we are parties,\u201d Makiej said.<\/p>\n<p>He blamed the West for arming Ukraine and encouraging what he described as Ukrainian extremist groups that preached violence and neo-Nazism.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>September 22, BPN.
