\n October 25, BPN<\/span><\/b>. Polish prosecutors have opened several criminal cases to investigate “the [Alexander] \u0141uka\u0161enka regime’s crimes” committed after the 2020 presidential election, Volha Dabravolskaja, a lawyer with the Poland-based Center of the Belarusian Solidarity (CBS), told journalists.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t She would not elaborate, citing the request of the Polish prosecutor’s office “to avoid publicity” during the investigation.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t Dabravolskaja added that initially the CBS lawyers had to prove the importance of the cases to the Polish authorities. They have been helping prosecutors for about a year now, and several lawyers are involved in the cases.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t In December 2021, Polish lawyer Tomasz Wili\u0144ski filed a complaint with the National Public Prosecutor’s Office of Poland on suspicion of genocide and crimes against humanity committed by Belarusian authorities.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t On October 4, Pavie\u0142 \u0141atu\u0161ka of the opposition’s transition cabined said that Lithuania had opened a criminal case against a Belarusian judge who handed down politically-motivated verdicts. He did not identify the suspect.\n<\/p>\n
