This is the third time that authorities jail her on these charges.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Police keep arresting people who are serving restricted freedom sentences on politically-motivated charges for participating in protests, the Viasna Human Rights Center reported. Via\u010das\u0142a\u016d Smirno\u016d, Vital Maskalo\u016d, Ja\u016dhien Bancevi\u010d, Juryj Vini\u010duk, Ja\u016dhien Pak, Vital Marku\u0161e\u016dski, David \u0160arako\u016d, Alaksandr Sia\u010dko, D\u017amitryj Maksim\u010dyk, and U\u0142adzimir Chami\u010dko\u016d are among those arrested at open-type correctional facilities across Belarus. Police also arrested Artem Michalco\u016d, D\u017amitryj Hureje\u016d, Arciom Vi\u0161ne\u016dski, and Aleh Pasiuk.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Dzianis Akinfieje\u016d, a Belarusian Railway employee, is under arrest for online comments about police officers from \u017d\u0142obin, Homiel region, pro-government Telegram channels reported.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Prosecutors accused D\u017amitryj Siem\u010danka, a former head of Alaksandr \u0141uka\u0161enka\u2019s press pool at the state-run <span>ONT <\/span>TV channel, of inciting hatred and took him into custody, the Prosecutor General\u2019s Office said.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Trials\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t The Tor Band musicians, including the band founders Ja\u016dhien Bur\u0142o and D\u017amitryj Ha\u0142ava\u010d, arrested on October 28 in Raha\u010do\u016d, Homiel region, for subscribing to and sharing opposition-created content, will serve 15 days in jail each, Viasna said. Julija Ha\u0142ava\u010d was fined.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Criminal proceedings\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t A court in Minsk sentenced Artur Smalako\u016d and Dzijana \u010carnu\u0161yna to two years in prison, and Andrej Asma\u0142o\u016dski, to three years for participating in 2020 protests. All three are members of the opposition United Civic Party (UCP).\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Dzijana Mickievi\u010d will serve a restricted freedom sentence of two years and six months at an open-type correctional facility for participating in protests, Viasna said. Human rights defenders declared her a political prisoner. People sentenced to restricted freedom at an open-type correctional facility live in barracks and are required to find a job in the location. They are allowed to leave the facility for work only.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Ihar Bie\u0142ano\u017eka from Ma\u0142adzie\u010dna, Minsk region, will serve one year in prison for online comments and insulting \u0141uka\u0161enka, Viasna said.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t The Brest Regional Court sentenced Alaksiej Ivano\u016d, a Minsk resident, to three years in prison for online comments on the 2021 shootout involving an IT engineer and KGB officers, known as the &#8220;Zielcer case.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Content blacklisted as \u201cextremist\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Authorities blacklisted the content of the Belarusian Investigative Center (BRC) on 19 media resources, as well as its logos and the English-language name, the Prosecutor General\u2019s Office reported.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t New political prisoners\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Human rights groups declared 19 more persons as political prisoners, taking their total number to a new high of 1,353 people.
