{"id":44356,"date":"2022-11-03T19:13:23","date_gmt":"2022-11-03T16:13:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/api.pozirk.online\/articles\/ukraine-says-russia-operates-iranian-drones-from-brest-region\/"},"modified":"2026-02-24T20:29:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T20:29:13","slug":"ukraine-says-russia-operates-iranian-drones-from-brest-region","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/44356\/","title":{"rendered":"Ukraine says Russia operates Iranian drones from Brest region"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>November 3, <span>BPN<\/span>.<\/b> A senior Ukrainian military official has accused Russia of deploying Iranian drones near \u0141uniniec in the Brest region.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cBelarusian territory continues to be used by the aggressor to launch missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine,\u201d Brig Gen Oleksiy Gromov told a briefing in Kyiv. <\/p>\n<p> \u201cA special role here is given to the air base near the town of \u0141uniniec, Brest region, where Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as a certain number of their operators, are stationed,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p> Russia used Belarus as staging ground for its February invasion of Ukraine, and later repeatedly relied on it for strikes on Ukrainian territory, officials in Kyiv said.<\/p>\n<p> Belarus denied involvement of its units in the war, but conducted multiple military drills, and is setting up a joint regional group of troops with Russia.<\/p>\n<p>The group may serve to distract Ukrainian troops from fighting in the east and south, Gromov said, noting that the capability for aggression&nbsp;can be built in the long run.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>November 3, BPN.
