He shot music videos for the Tor Band and was arrested together with the musicians in Raha\u010do\u016d, Homiel region, on October 28.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Authorities have not released human rights defender Anastasija \u0141ojka after her 15-day jail term expired on November 12, Human Constanta reported. Her current whereabouts are unknown.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Trials\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t A judge sentenced Orthodox church researcher Aleh Nahorny to 15 days in jail on charges of propaganda and distribution of Nazi symbols, Chry\u015bcijanskaja Vizija reported.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Criminal proceedings\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t A district court in the Minsk region sentenced Alaksandr Samal from Ma\u0142adzie\u010dna to 18 months of restricted freedom in home confinement for online comments about a high-ranking police official, Viasna said.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Political prisoners\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Belarusian human rights groups have declared Pavie\u0142 Linkievi\u010d, Michai\u0142 Zubko\u016d, Zachar Tarazievi\u010d, and Anton \u0141ysa\u016d political prisoners, Viasna reported.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Siarhiej Sacuk, editor in chief of <span>Yezhednevnik<\/span>, was transferred from a detention center to a Mahilo\u016d prison before the hearing of his appeal, the Belarusian Association of Journalists reported. In late October, a court sentenced the journalist to eight years in prison on charges of inciting hatred, abusing his power, and taking bribes.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Investigative journalist Dzianis Iva\u0161yn, currently serving a lengthy prison term, might be kept in a punishment cell despite the expiration of his previous seven-day term penalty for breaking prison rules, Viasna said.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Via\u010das\u0142a\u016d Smirno\u016d, currently serving a two-year restricted freedom sentence for insulting Alaksandr \u0141uka\u0161enka, was jailed for 15 days for having Telegram messaging app on his phone.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t As of November 13, human rights defenders identified at least 1,425 political prisoners.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>November 13, BPN.
