{"id":44638,"date":"2022-11-25T13:12:40","date_gmt":"2022-11-25T10:12:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/api.pozirk.online\/articles\/bnr-rada-honors-belarusian-protesters-soldiers-who-fought-for-ukraine-with-awards\/"},"modified":"2026-02-24T20:29:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T20:29:13","slug":"bnr-rada-honors-belarusian-protesters-soldiers-who-fought-for-ukraine-with-awards","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/44638\/","title":{"rendered":"BNR Rada honors Belarusian protesters, soldiers who fought for Ukraine with awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n <b>November 25, <span>BPN<\/span>. <\/b>The Rada of the Belarusian National Republic (BNR) has established a new award, the Pahonia medal.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t The first to receive it are &#8220;heroes who sacrificed the most precious thing they had, their own lives, for the freedom of Belarus,&#8221; said Ivonka Survilla, chair of the BNR Rada, in her annual address marking the anniversary of the S\u0142uck Uprising against the Bolsheviks in 1920.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t The award should celebrate outstanding services to Belarus and the Belarusian people, Survilla said.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Among those awarded posthumously are political prisoner Vitold A\u0161urak, opposition activist Raman Bandarenka, protesters Mikita Kry\u016dco\u016d, Alaksandr Tarajko\u016dski, Hienad\u017a \u0160uta\u016d, Kanstancin \u0160y\u0161mako\u016d, as well as Belarusian volunteers who died fighting Russia in Ukraine in 2022 &#8211; Ivan Mar\u010duk, Pavie\u0142 Bahatyr, Vasil Parfianko\u016d, Alaksiej Skobla, and Illa Chrena\u016d.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t The award list features a total of 21 names. It includes Michai\u0142 \u017dy\u017ane\u016dski, Mika\u0142aj Illin, Ales \u010carka\u0161yn, and Vital Cili\u017eenka &#8211; Belarusians who died during the 2014 Revolution of Dignity in Ukraine and the war that started in the same year.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t The news comes the day after Belarusian Interior Minister Ivan Kubrako\u016d described Belarusians fighting Russia in Ukraine as &#8220;traitors, supporting the fascist ideology.&#8221; The interior ministry has identified about 160 Belarusian nationals currently fighting on the Ukrainian side, he told the <span>ONT <\/span>TV channel on November 24.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>November 25, BPN.
