The previous CEO, D\u017amitryj Nava\u017ey\u0142a\u016d, was given six years; former deputy CEO Andrej Alaksandra\u016d, 14 years; his wife Iryna Z\u0142obina, nine years.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t On top of that, the judge fined Nava\u017ey\u0142a\u016d 22,400 rubels (some $8,900), Z\u0142obina 25,600 rubels and Alaksandra\u016d 32,000 rubels.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t The defendants were accused of creating an extremist group (Alaksandra\u016d, Le\u016d\u0161yna, Nava\u017ey\u0142a\u016d), treason (Alaksandra\u016d, Z\u0142obina), tax evasion (Alaksandra\u016d, Nava\u017ey\u0142a\u016d), and organization of actions grossly disturbing public order (Alaksandra\u016d and Z\u0142obina). Human rights groups consider all four political prisoners.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t On October 20, media reported that the four appealed against the verdict.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t At least 32 journalists are in prison, the Belarusian Association of Journalists (BAJ) said.
