{"id":44985,"date":"2022-12-20T12:49:09","date_gmt":"2022-12-20T09:49:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/api.pozirk.online\/articles\/us-department-of-state-warns-lukasenka-against-continued-support-of-russias-war-on-ukraine\/"},"modified":"2026-02-24T20:29:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T20:29:13","slug":"us-department-of-state-warns-lukasenka-against-continued-support-of-russias-war-on-ukraine","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/44985\/","title":{"rendered":"US Department of State warns \u0141uka\u0161enka against continued support of Russia\u2019s war on Ukraine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n <b>December 20, <span>BPN<\/span>. <\/b>The United States is aware of the Alaksandr \u0141uka\u0161enka regime\u2019s complicity in Russia&#8217;s war on Ukraine, Ned Price, spokesperson for the US Department of State, told journalists.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t &#8220;That\u2019s why the \u0141uka\u0161enka regime is now subject to a bevy of sanctions,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We\u2019ll look for additional means to hold Belarus accountable if it continues to cooperate with the Kremlin in this brutal war.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t The US is &#8220;going to continue watching [Belarusian authorities] very closely&#8221; as Russia may continue to use Belarus as a launch pad for its war on Ukraine, Price warned.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Vladimir Putin\u2019s denial of intentions to absorb or drag anyone into a war on Russia&#8217;s side &#8220;has to be treated as the height of irony coming from a leader who is seeking . . . to violently absorb his other peaceful next door neighbor,&#8221; Price said.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t The US has already seen the \u0141uka\u0161enka regime actually cede its independence by allowing Russian forces into sovereign Belarusian territories, he added.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t On February 24, Russia started a full-scale war against Ukraine. \u0141uka\u0161enka admitted that Belarus participated in Russia&#8217;s war on Ukraine, but said it was &#8220;not killing anyone.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Authorities in Minsk denied Belarusian army troops\u2019 involvement in combat operations on the Russian side. However, Belarus allowed Russian troops and weapons to move freely through the country, use its airspace, refuel and store military equipment and attack Ukraine from its territory.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>December 20, BPN.
