{"id":45069,"date":"2022-12-26T14:04:41","date_gmt":"2022-12-26T11:04:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/api.pozirk.online\/articles\/former-investigator-juskievic-sentenced-to-11-years-in-prison\/"},"modified":"2026-02-24T20:29:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T20:29:13","slug":"former-investigator-juskievic-sentenced-to-11-years-in-prison","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/45069\/","title":{"rendered":"Former investigator Ju\u0161kievi\u010d sentenced to 11 years in prison"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n <b>December 26, <span>BPN<\/span>.<\/b> The Minsk City Court has sentenced former investigator Ja\u016dhien Ju\u0161kievi\u010d to 11 years in a high-security prison, Prosecutor General&#8217;s Office reported.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t The judge found him guilty of participating in protests, inciting hatred and disobeying police orders.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Prosecutors also accused Ju\u0161kievi\u010d of being a regular contributor to an opposition Telegram channel blacklisted as extremist.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t The sentence has not yet entered into force and may be appealed.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Ju\u0161kievi\u010d had worked at the Minsk Investigative Committee until his resignation in 2017. In 2020, he initiated the bychange.me project to help law enforcement officers, civil servants and people who had lost their jobs for political reasons.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Ju\u0161kievi\u010d has been in custody since April 2021.
