{"id":45192,"date":"2023-01-04T21:26:00","date_gmt":"2023-01-04T18:26:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/api.pozirk.online\/articles\/imprisoned-journalists-wife-to-go-on-trial-on-january-18\/"},"modified":"2026-02-24T20:29:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T20:29:13","slug":"imprisoned-journalists-wife-to-go-on-trial-on-january-18","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/45192\/","title":{"rendered":"Imprisoned journalist&#8217;s wife to go on trial on January 18"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>January 4, <span>BPN.<\/span><\/b> Jailed regime critic Darja \u0141osik will go on trial in the Brest Regional Court on January 18, the Viasna Human Rights Center reports.<\/p>\n<p> The Prosecutor General\u2019s Office accused her of giving an interview to <span>Belsat<\/span>, a television channel declared extremist, \u201cin which she positioned herself as a political prisoner\u2019s wife.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> The Prosecutor General\u2019s Office said that \u0141osik made negative remarks about state prosecution and justice offices by denying that her husband had committed crimes and claiming that he had been&nbsp;convicted illegally.&nbsp;She allegedly urged other convicts\u2019 relatives to follow her example.<\/p>\n<p> Darja \u0141osik, the wife of Ihar \u0141osik, a jailed <span>RFE\/RL<\/span>&nbsp;contributor and&nbsp;administrator of the <span>Belarus Golovnogo Mozga<\/span> Telegram channel, was arrested on October 18 last year.<\/p>\n<p>In&nbsp;December 2021 Ihar \u0141osik was sentenced to 15 years in prison for incitement to hatred and mass riots.
