Judge Valancina Ziankievi\u010d presides over the proceedings.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Authorities accuse \u010cekina, Zo\u0142atava, \u0141ojka and Ta\u0142ka\u010dova of tax evasion, inciting hatred and calling for sanctions. Tka\u010denka is charged with participation in protests.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t In October 2022, the Committee for State Security (KGB) blacklisted all four as terrorists.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Tut By Media ran <span>Tut.by<\/span>, Belarus\u2019 most popular news site.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Authorities arrested 15 Tut.by employees in May 2021. All except \u010cekina and Zo\u0142atava were released after agreeing to cooperate with investigators, according to the Investigative Committee. Nine defendants have asked Alaksandr \u0141uka\u0161enka for a pardon and &#8220;compensated the damages in full,&#8221; according to the Prosecutor General\u2019s Office.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Darja Dani\u0142ava was sentenced to 16 months in prison and released in the courtroom, as she had spent about as much time in jail pending trial.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t In June 2022, the Minsk Economic Court designated Tut By Media as an extremist organization, banning its activities in Belarus.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>January 9, BPN.
