RSF calls for the release of this leading Belarusian journalist, who has disgracefully been labelled a \u2018terrorist,\u2019\u201d Cavelier added.<\/p>\n<p> Zo\u0142atava and her boss Ludmila \u010cekina went on trial in a Minsk court on January 9, accused of tax evasion, incitement to hatred and calls to undermine national security. Reprisals against them and other&nbsp;staff of <span>Tut.by<\/span>, Belarus\u2019 popular current affairs website crushed by the authorities, are widely seen as politically motivated. <\/p>\n<p>RSF recalled that Belarus ranks 153rd in its press freedom list and keeps about 30 journalists behind bars.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>January 14, BPN.
