They also shared views on international and regional security issues.<\/p>\n<p> Ravienka also met with M\u00f3nica Mili\u00e1n G\u00f3mez, military attach\u00e9 at the Cuban embassy in Russia and Belarus, to discuss the military and political situation in the region and the world. The ministry said the meeting aimed to strengthen the partnership and mutually beneficial relations between the two countries\u2019 defense offices.<\/p>\n<p> Additionally, Ravienka and Myanmar\u2019s Deputy Defense Minister Aung Lin Tun exchanged views on relevant issues of the international agenda and reviewed the current state, potential and prospects for the development of bilateral military cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>In February, Ravienka told foreign military attach\u00e9s that Belarus faces \u201cdirect threats to military security.\u201d \u201cThese threats are connected with the accelerated large-scale militarization of the European continent and the gradual build-up of foreign military presence near our borders,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>May 18, BPN.
