He thanked Nicaragua for backing Belarus\u2019 bid for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council.<\/p>\n<p> The ministers also discussed expanding their legal framework and boosting economic cooperation. Alejnik said they were close to finalizing agreements on trade, investment and visa abolition.<\/p>\n<p> He said a Nicaraguan delegation would visit Belarus soon to negotiate with industrial enterprises on supplying Belarusian equipment to Nicaragua.<\/p>\n<p>The two countries established diplomatic ties in 1994 and have maintained friendly relations since then.
