{"id":47112,"date":"2023-06-02T22:37:45","date_gmt":"2023-06-02T19:37:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/api.pozirk.online\/articles\/belarus-gets-new-russian-missile-system-amid-troops-rotation\/"},"modified":"2026-02-24T20:29:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T20:29:13","slug":"belarus-gets-new-russian-missile-system-amid-troops-rotation","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/47112\/","title":{"rendered":"Belarus gets new Russian missile system amid troops rotation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>June 2, <span>BPN.<\/span><\/b> Russian troops are arriving in Belarus as part of \u201cscheduled rotation\u201d of the regional group of forces, the Belarusian defense ministry has said.<\/p>\n<p> It said the troops include \u201cpersonnel, weapons and equipment from combined arms and tank formations.\u201d It also said &#8220;another S-400 anti-aircraft missile system&#8221; was delivered from Russia.<\/p>\n<p> The regional group of forces has been deployed in the country since October, officially in response&nbsp;to \u201caggravation on the western borders of the Union State,\u201d a political and economic alliance between Russia and Belarus.<\/p>\n<p> The ministry said the deployment is intended&nbsp;to \u201cimprove the defense capabilities of the Union State.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> Belarusian ruler Alaksandr \u0141uka\u0161enka announced last year that Belarus put&nbsp;S-400 and Iskander air defense missile systems, handed over by Russia, on combat duty.<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine\u2019s State Border Guard Service spokesman Andrii Demchenko said last month that many Russian units that trained in Belarus \u201care being withdrawn&#8230; but there is no replenishment at the training ranges.\u201d He said that Russian presence&nbsp;decreased to&nbsp;2,500&nbsp;from 10,000-11,000 a few months earlier.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>June 2, BPN.
