Slovenia submitted its application in December 2021.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Eastern European countries are allocated one non-permanent seat for a term of two years. The voting will take place at the 77th session of the UN General Assembly on June 6.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Belarusian opposition seeks to ensure that&nbsp;authorities lose these elections.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t The UN Security Council is one of the six principal bodies of the United Nations responsible for international peace and security.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t It consists of five permanent members \u2013 China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States \u2013 and ten non-permanent members elected for two-year terms under regional quotas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>June 3, BPN.
