Jurhilevi\u010d told the court that she was being held in unsanitary conditions and was not allowed to study the case file.<\/p>\n<p> Investigators accused Ma\u017eejka of posting reports on Jurhilevi\u010d&#8217;s decision to resign and on a&nbsp;five-year prison sentence given to&nbsp;dissident artist&nbsp;&nbsp;Ale\u015b Pu\u0161kin on the <span>Belsat TV<\/span> website, <span>Radyjo Svaboda<\/span> reported quoting the journalist&#8217;s wife,&nbsp;Iryna \u010carnia\u016dka. Poland-based <span>Belsat TV<\/span> has been designated by Belarusian authorities as an extremist group.<\/p>\n<p> Ma\u017eejka led a non-governmental organization called the Center of Urban Life, which was shut down by the prosecutors last year, Jurhilevi\u010d defended regime critics facing prosecution. <\/p>\n<p>They were arrested in 2022.
