He was to observe the October 15 Sejm elections as a member of the delegation of the OSCE&#8217;s Parliamentary Assembly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The foreign ministry condemned the denial. Poland not only imposed national visa restrictions on all Belarusian parliamentarians, but also added them to the Schengen stop lists, H\u0142az said. Thus, Warsaw&#8217;s unilateral, politicized decision made it impossible for Belarus to &#8220;fully participate in OSCE election monitoring across Europe,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He warned that Belarus &#8220;will be forced to take this yet another unfriendly step by Warsaw into account when developing its bilateral relations with Poland, and even more so when deciding to invite foreign observers to the elections in Belarus in the future.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Such actions, he said, &#8220;undermine confidence in the electoral process in Poland and raise doubts about the fairness and transparency of these elections.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;These actions by the country that hosts the headquarters of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, the key institution tasked with the mission of election observation in the OSCE area, torpedo the entire system of inclusive election observation,&#8221; H\u0142az said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result, &#8220;countries are turning to other structures that are capable of observing elections in a non-discriminatory, truly independent and competent manner,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lower house of the Belarusian National Assembly said yesterday that Poland had denied entry to MP Kara\u015b. Commenting on the development, the opposition National Anti-Crisis Management said it had initiated the addition of &#8220;all &#8216;deputies&#8217; and &#8216;senators&#8217; of \u0141uka\u0161enka&#8217;s so-called parliament&#8221; to the Polish sanctions list in early 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The National Assembly delegation to the OSCE PA consists of five people: Valeryj Varaniecki, Dzianis Kara\u015b, Ivan Mamajka, Siarhiej Ra\u010dko\u016d and Andrej Savinych.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>October 13,&nbsp;Pozirk.&nbsp;The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe is &#8220;incapable of enforcing its own rules,&#8221; Belarusian foreign ministry spokesman Anatol H\u0142az said today.
