{"id":48163,"date":"2023-11-09T12:11:30","date_gmt":"2023-11-09T09:11:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/api.pozirk.online\/?post_type=articles&#038;p=48163"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","slug":"kgb-brands-another-local-news-site-as-extremist-group","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/48163\/","title":{"rendered":"KGB brands another local news site as extremist group"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"block-image block-image-normal\">\n\n  <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1041\" height=\"582\" src=\"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/exprrr-1-e1699480318409.jpg\" class=\"attachment-full size-full\" alt=\"\" \/>\n  <figcaption>\n      <div class=\"block-image__descr\">\n\n        ex-press.by screenshot\n    <\/div>\n  \n     <\/figcaption>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>November 9, <em>Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> On October 24, the Committee for State Security (KGB) blacklisted <em>ex-press.live<\/em>, a local media outlet from Barysa\u016d, Minsk region, and its social media pages, as an extremist group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Russian-born editor in chief, Mila Polyk, as well as Russian nationals Anastasiya Bobrovskaya and Oleg Matskevich as well as Belarusian nationals Pavie\u0142 Slapuchin and Alena Kulbiakina are listed as alleged members of the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Ex-press.live<\/em> also known as ex-press.by was set up by journalists from the independent newspaper <em>Kurier iz Borisova<\/em> outlawed in 2005.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities blocked access to the website for Belarus-based readers in August 2021. Its content was blacklisted as extremist twice: in October 2021 and in February 2023. In April, authorities barred the website from the .by domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The team left Belarus and continues working abroad, according to <em>Pozirk<\/em>&#8216;s sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities also attached an extremist label to the <em>Gomel za Nikitu Zolotareva<\/em> Telegram chat alleging that it is linked to Michai\u0142 \u0141apuno\u016d, jailed since early August for sharing opposition content. His son Mikita Za\u0142ataro\u016d is currently serving four and a half years in prison on charges widely seen as politically motivated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The KGB list of extremist groups currently has 157 entries, including 20 media outlets, such as <em>BelaPAN<\/em>, <em>Belsat TV<\/em>, <em>Radyjo Svaboda<\/em>, <em>Na\u0161a Niva<\/em>, <em>zerkalo.io<\/em>, <em>Bobruisk Online<\/em>, <em>Flagshtok<\/em>, <em>kyky.org<\/em>, <em>Chestnaya Gazeta<\/em>, <em>Euroradio<\/em>, <em>Charter\u201997<\/em>, <em>Hrodna.life<\/em>, <em>Vestniki<\/em>, <em>Malanka Media<\/em>, <em>Brestskaya Gazeta<\/em>, <em>MOST<\/em>, <em>homeldays.org<\/em>, the <em>Insider<\/em> Telegram channel, the <em>Ranak TV<\/em> station and <em>ex-press.live<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>November 9, Pozirk.
