The training of Belarusian Iskander unitswill include operation of unmanned aerial systems, the official noted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In early February, the Belarusian army started full independent operation of the Iskander missile system. Missile units trained in Russia and were staffed only by contracted military personnel, according to the defense ministry. Belarusian authorities did not specify how many missile launchers were based in Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Russian-made Iskander operational-tactical missile system is designed to destroy air\/missile defense capabilities, as well as critical infrastructure such as bridges, command posts or communication centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The system can fire both cruise and quasi-ballistic missiles. The Iskander-M modification used by the Russian military has a range between 300 and 500 kilometers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Belarus put S-400 and Iskander missile systems delivered by Russia on combat duty following Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka talks with Vladimir Putin in late December 2022.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>November 19, Pozirk.
