Her daughter Marharyta Vorychava is a youth policy advisor to opposition leader \u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dskaja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anatol Trubkin, the father of exiled activist Alaksiej Trubkin, was arrested after police searched his home in Navapo\u0142ack, <em>Radyjo Svaboda<\/em> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Homiel police arrested Elitesoft CEO Juryj Bal for allegedly following opposition content on Facebook and planning to run in local elections, the Homiel branch of Viasna said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities released Vasil Palako\u016d, a former chairman of the outlawed United Civic Party, after he had served two consecutive 15-day jail terms for sharing opposition content, the Homiel branch of Viasna said. He was on a hunger strike in detention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trials<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A judge in Buda-Ka\u0161alova, Homiel region, fined activist Anatol Pap\u0142a\u016dny 370 rubels (about $120) for allegedly sharing opposition content, the Homiel branch of Viasna said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Criminal proceedings<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jailed vlogger U\u0142adzimir Cyhanovi\u010d, known as <em>MozgON<\/em> on YouTube, went on a new trial for allegedly disobeying prison administration, Viasna reported. His 16-year prison term may be extended by two years if he is convicted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other instances of persecution<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Prosecutor General\u2019s Office asked the Supreme Court to select a court for the trial of Alaksandar Azara\u016d, U\u0142adzimir \u017dyhar, Maciej Kuprej\u010dyk, Ihar \u0141oban, Andrei Astapovi\u010d and Aleh Taler\u010dyk, alleged members of the ByPol resistance group accused of conspiracy to seize the state power by unconstitutional means, Viasna said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Extremist&#8221; content update<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A judge in Lida, Hrodna region, branded Belarusian rock legend Lavon Volski\u2019s Telegram channel extremist content, Viasna reported. Other blacklisted content includes the <em>talaka_in_italia<\/em> Instagram page, Nikolai Maslovskiy\u2019s VKontakte page and the <em>anatoykoipe<\/em> and <em>Andreevich<\/em> TikTok accounts and several Telegram channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of December 1, human rights defenders identified at least 1,446 political prisoners but the real number is considerably higher because many cases go undocumented.
