His eight-year prison sentence came into effect in July. On November 28, Supreme Court justice Ihar Bukata rejected his appeal against the sentence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Babaryka pleaded not guilty to charges of corruption, staging mass riots and inciting hatred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The defendant spent more than three years at a detention facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Babaryka ran the crowdfunding platforms Ulej and MolaMola and was one of his father&#8217;s campaign managers before their arrest in June 2020. According to the Viasna Human Rights Center, Zujeva suffers from cancer. A judge sentenced her to two and a half years in prison for insulting an official and the head of state. She was arrested in June 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another addition is IT specialist D\u017amitryj Ka\u010dano\u016dski, sentenced to three years in prison for donating money to banned organizations.
