{"id":52753,"date":"2023-12-01T21:08:20","date_gmt":"2023-12-01T18:08:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/api.pozirk.online\/?post_type=articles&#038;p=52753"},"modified":"2026-02-24T20:40:57","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T20:40:57","slug":"belarusian-red-cross-suspended-from-international-federation","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/52753\/","title":{"rendered":"Belarusian Red Cross suspended from international federation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>December 1, <em>Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies has suspended the Belarusian Red Cross as a member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The international Red Cross said in a statement that the BRC had failed to comply with its demand to dismiss the local secretary general, D\u017amitryj \u0160a\u016dco\u016d, whose remarks about Russian nuclear weapons in Belarus and activities in Russian-occupied territory caused outrage in the media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On July 20, the BRC chief appeared on the state-run <em>ONT<\/em> TV channel, suggesting that Russia should consider launching nuclear strikes against Western countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Belarusian organization will not be able to participate in the General Assembly or statutory events, and will not be funded, according to the statement.
