He freezes. He has very high blood pressure, but they give him no pills,&#8221; they said. They described the artist&#8217;s condition as &#8220;totally critical,&#8221; adding that he is drawing up a will.<br><br>Drazdo\u016d is a former leader of the Pahonia art group. Earlier this week, a source told <em>Pozirk <\/em>that the Belarusian Union of Artists dissolved it &#8220;at the request of the Ministry of Culture.&#8221;<br><br>The artist was arrested in August 2022 and sentenced to 15 days in jail. But the authorities did not release him after he served his sentence and instead charged him with taking part in unauthorized protests and extremism.<br><br>On May 4, 2023, a judge sentenced Drazdo\u016d to three years in a minimum-security penal colony. However, according to the Viasna Human Rights Center, he is serving his sentence in Mahilo\u016d&#8217;s Prison No 4.<br><br>Human rights activists say that the authorities oppress him for political reasons.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>December 15, Pozirk.
