The unit was shut down on October 6 for nuclear fuel replacement, which took almost twice as long as the first maintenance in 2022.<br><br>Belarus completed its only nuclear plant in the fall of 2023. The general contractor was Rosatom, the Russian state nuclear corporation.<br><br>The plant&#8217;s Unit 1 has supplied electricity to the grid since November 2020, and Unit 2 since May 2023.
