{"id":5593,"date":"2023-10-16T11:57:54","date_gmt":"2023-10-16T08:57:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/api.pozirk.online\/?post_type=articles&#038;p=5593"},"modified":"2026-03-10T12:05:06","modified_gmt":"2026-03-10T12:05:06","slug":"edb-expects-annual-inflation-to-rise-in-october","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/5593\/","title":{"rendered":"EDB expects annual inflation to rise in October"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>October 16,<em> Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Inflation in Belarus fell to 2 percent in September year on year, the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) said in its recent weekly macroeconomic report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Food prices growth slowed down to 2.4 percent in September after growing 3.4 percent in August, while prices for non-food products have been falling for four consecutive months, it noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, analysts expect annual inflation to accelerate in October citing low 2022 values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Consumer prices in Belarus rose by 0.7 percent in September, according to the Bie\u0142stat statistics service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prices rose by 3.6 percent in the first nine months of 2023, with food prices up 2.9 percent, non-food prices, 2 percent, and services, 7.1 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Belarusian officials had projected inflation of 7-8 percent in 2023.
