{"id":56805,"date":"2023-12-21T14:02:59","date_gmt":"2023-12-21T11:02:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/api.pozirk.online\/?post_type=articles&#038;p=56805"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","slug":"russian-national-released-from-prison-in-belarus-to-fight-against-ukraine-rights-group","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/56805\/","title":{"rendered":"Russian national released from prison in Belarus to fight against Ukraine \u2013 rights group"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>December 21, <em>Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> This fall, Belarusian authorities released from prison Russian national Anton Lysov and extradited him to Russia after he agreed to join Russia&#8217;s war against Ukraine, Dissidentby reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Human rights defenders say information received from former inmates has been confirmed by several other sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lysov, a native of Russia\u2019s Cheboksary, was arrested in early October 2022 in Minsk on suspicion of an arson attack on the car of Alaksiej Vo\u0142ka\u016d, a senior Belarusian forensic official.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Initially, investigators filed terrorism charges Lysov and Belarusian national Zachar Tarazievi\u010d, but later both were tried on vandalism charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In November 2022, judge Ta\u0107ciana Akavitaja sentenced Lysov and Tarazievi\u010d to 10 and seven and a half years in prison, respectively.
