Belarus Segodnya<\/em>, 6.4 percent for <em>Narodnaya Gazeta<\/em>, and 4.8 percent for <em>Respublika<\/em>. Other state newspapers demonstrated a similar trend.<br><br>The six-month package for <em>SB. Belarus Segodnya<\/em>, a major government mouthpiece, costs 108 rubels, about $33 at the current exchange rate.<br><br>Belarusians cannot subscribe for Ukrainian or Western titles, as well as for independent Belarusian periodicals covering sociopolitical issues.<br><br>Some Russian pro-government newspapers, such as <em>Argumenty Nedeli<\/em>, <em>Literaturnaya Gazeta<\/em>, <em>Izvestiya <\/em>and <em>Rossiyskaya Gazeta<\/em>, made their subscriptions much cheaper for Belarusians, while others raised their prices. <em>Argumenty Nedeli<\/em> and <em>Literaturnaya Gazeta<\/em> are actually cheaper than most Belarusian newspapers, including regional ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Subscription for Kazakhstan&#8217;s <em>Kazakhstanskaya Pravda<\/em> decreased by 0.2 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>December 22, Pozirk.
