{"id":5970,"date":"2023-09-14T12:53:00","date_gmt":"2023-09-14T09:53:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/api.pozirk.online\/?post_type=articles&#038;p=5970"},"modified":"2026-02-24T20:40:57","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T20:40:57","slug":"exiled-opposition-welcomes-european-parliaments-belarus-resolution","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/5970\/","title":{"rendered":"Exiled opposition welcomes European Parliament&#8217;s Belarus resolution"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>September 14,&nbsp;<em>Pozirk.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/strong>Members of the exiled Belarusian opposition leader&#8217;s cabinet have welcomed a European Parliament resolution calling Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka an accomplice in the Russian war against Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Valer Kavale\u016dski, the cabinet&#8217;s&nbsp;representative for foreign affairs, said it was important that the document called for tougher sanctions against the \u0141uka\u0161enka regime and rejected attempts by some countries to white-list Belarusian potash exports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also welcomed the call to involve&nbsp;Belarusian democratic forces in European political processes and debates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pavie\u0142 \u0141atu\u0161ka, representative for transition, underscored &#8220;the importance of the European Parliament&#8217;s call for an arrest warrant to be issued for \u0141uka\u0161enka.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MEPs called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) to issue the international warrant yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They condemned what they called illegal transfers of more than 2,150 children from Russian-occupied areas of Ukraine to Belarus, where they are reportedly &#8220;subjected to Russification and indoctrination.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These actions of &#8220;\u0141uka\u0161enka himself and his regime may also amount to the crime against humanity,&#8221; the resolution says.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>September 14,&nbsp;Pozirk.&nbsp;Members of the exiled Belarusian opposition leader&#8217;s cabinet have welcomed a European Parliament resolution calling Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka an accomplice in the Russian war against Ukraine.
