It found the pastor guilty of sharing information from &#8220;a TV channel recognized as extremist&#8221; and liking a post on an &#8220;extremist&#8221; Telegram channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ra\u017edziestvienski leads a Protestant congregation in Vieramiejki that is part of the Union of Evangelical Christians-Baptists in Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On January 9, the party also reported the release of its member Stanis\u0142a\u016d Ma\u010da\u0142a\u016d, who human rights groups said was a political prisoner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After his arrest in May 2021, he was sentenced to prison for allegedly disturbing public order and threatening violence against an internal affairs officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ma\u010da\u0142a\u016d served his sentence in full and was released on December 29.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Belarusian Social Democratic Hramada, seven of its members remained behind bars: Ivan Sa\u016dcin (sentenced to nine years in prison); Andrej Chanievi\u010d (five years in prison); Aleh Kanava\u0142a\u016d (five years in prison); Mika\u0142aj Kula\u0161o\u016d (five years in prison); Julija \u0141aptanovi\u010d (four years and nine months); Viktar \u0141osik (four years); and Ihar Lednik (three years).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>January 9, Pozirk.
