January 16, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Bie\u0142aja Ru\u015b, a government-established association of Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka’s supporters, has collected humanitarian aid for the “residents of Donbas,” souzveche.ru<\/em> reported.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bie\u0142aja Ru\u015b launched the fundraiser for Donbas children on December 15 together with the Belarusian branch of Russia\u2019s Rossotrudnichestvo foreign aid agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each Belarusian region collected about 10 tons of cargo including food, medications, warm clothes, hygiene products, baby items, toys and sports equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rossotrudnichestvo promised to deliver the aid to the occupied regions of Ukraine in late January or early February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In February 2022, Russia started a full-scale war against Ukraine in which the Belarusian authorities supported the Kremlin, including by promoting initiatives presented as humanitarian ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At least 2,442 children aged between six and 17 have been taken from Ukraine to Belarus since February 2022, researchers from the Yale School of Public Health\u2019s Humanitarian Research Lab (HRL) said in November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusian potash giant Bie\u0142au\u015bkalij, Paralympian Alaksiej Ta\u0142aj and a pro-government youth organization reportedly facilitated transfers of Ukrainian children to Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
