January 17, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Industrial production in Belarus rose by 7.7 percent year on year to 187.3 billion rubels (about $59.5 billion), the National Statistics Committee (Bie\u0142stat) said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The increase was driven by mining (growth of 4.5 percent), manufacturing (9.1 percent) and water supply and waste collection (1.7 percent).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Electricity, gas, steam and hot water production fell 0.9 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
