But don&#8217;t tell me it&#8217;s all over,&#8221; Cichano\u016dskaja said. &#8220;I talk to people in Belarus, to our activists and ordinary people. They are annoyed when someone says that there is nothing left in Belarus. They say: &#8216;We are here!&#8217; Yes, we cannot make any noise, but we are here. And if you are free in European countries and can&#8217;t make noise, that&#8217;s on you.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Asked how long it would take to defeat the regime, the opposition leader said: &#8220;No one has the answer.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Months, years, decades&#8230; Of course, we all want it to happen sooner,&#8221; she said. &#8220;But I tell people again, it is your responsibility also . . . We have not achieved our goals, but we see that the regime in Belarus has failed and is troubled. We understand from their rhetoric that they know: Belarusians will take to the streets again as soon as possible. And our task here is to keep the regime constantly stressed out, to make them feel us and know that the political prisoners have not been forgotten.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The politician said she had no news about her jailed husband, Siarhiej Cichano\u016dski. She recalled that the lawyer last met with him in March 2023, and that in July propagandists showed a video from his prison cell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t know if he is alive or what his condition is. Siarhiej is my personal pain, but I also think of Mika\u0142aj [Statkievi\u010d], Ale\u015b [Bialacki], Viktar [Babaryka], Maksim Znak and Ma\u0161a Kale\u015bnikava.
