Our countries are entering an electoral cycle: the election of the president of the Russian Federation has been scheduled for March 17; parliamentary and local elections will be held in Belarus on February 25, and the first (under the new rules) All-Belarusian People&#8217;s Assembly is planned for March,&#8221; the ministry said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2024, elections for the House of Representatives and local councils will be held on the same day for the first time in Belarus. The single day of voting is scheduled for February 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the elections, voters will be banned from taking photos of the completed ballots and posting them on the Internet, both during early voting and on the election day. Violators will be punished under the Administrative Offenses Code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the 2020 presidential election, many voters photographed their ballots and uploaded them to the online platform Ho\u0142as to prove that the authorities&#8217; manipulated the voting results in favor of Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The country has not held a single free and fair election according to the standards of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe since 1996.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The eighth election of the Russian president will take place on March 15\u201317.
