February 2, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> The Eurasian Economic Union has shown “high rates of development” despite “the Western countries’ illegal pressure” on individual EEU members, Belarusian Prime Minister Raman Ha\u0142o\u016d\u010danka said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus’ gross domestic product grew by 3.9 percent in 2023 despite “the prophecies of our so-called well-wishers,” he told the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Almaty, Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus’ trade with EEU countries grew by 7.4 percent in 11 months last year to $45.7 billion, the prime minister said. “Industry was the main driver of the economy and grew by 7.7 percent.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The EEU is an economic integration organization consisting of Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia (since January 1, 2015), as well as Armenia (since January 2, 2015) and Kyrgyzstan (since August 12, 2015).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cuba, Moldova, and Uzbekistan have observer status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
