February 16, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Three men have been arrested in a security operation in the Lel\u010dycy district, Homiel region, the Committee for State Security (KGB) told Bie\u0142TA<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The arrestees were identified as Ukrainian nationals Serhii and Pavlo Kabarchuks, father and son, and Belarusian national Vital Ulasiuk, from Brest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the dark hours of February 15, “a violation of the state border of Belarus by a group of citizens from Ukraine was detected.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Some of them were detained as a result of search activities.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The detainees were found to be in possession of explosive devices and other means of destruction. We decided to impose a counterterrorist operation regime on the Lel\u010dycy district. The area was blockaded,” the KGB said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This morning, Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka announced the detention of several saboteurs on the Ukrainian border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The chekist military operation is over. All the saboteurs, among them Belarusians, have been arrested,” the Belarusian strongman said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ukrainians used drones to cross into Belarus through swamps smuggling explosives to commit sabotage in Russia and Belarus, he claimed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
