She sentenced Alaksandar Azara\u016d to 25 years; Ma\u0107viej Kuprej\u010dyk, U\u0142adzimir \u017dyhar, Ihar \u0141oban, and Aleh Taler\u010dyk to 12 years; and Andrej Astapovi\u010d to 11 years. All were tried <em>in absentia<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ku\u010duk sentenced a number of political prisoners: experts Valeryja Ka\u015bciuhova and Ta\u0107ciana Kuzina, scientist Juryj Adama\u016d, Strana Dlya Zhizni activist Anton Sta\u0161e\u016dski, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides Ku\u010duk, \u0141uka\u0161enka appointed or reappointed 37 people as district, city or regional judges.
