February 19, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka has told Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik that Belarus is ready to support industry, agriculture, healthcare and other sectors of the autonomous Serb Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Unfortunately, only courage, resilience and strength can determine the future of a particular country, region, district or territory today,” he told Dodik in Minsk, as quoted by his press office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I think that you are standing strong, representing the interests of the Orthodox people and those who trust and believe in you,” \u0141uka\u0161enka said. “We are on your side.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dodik praised \u0141uka\u0161enka as a friend and brother of the Serbs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I know that your country is under pressure and sanctions from the West,” he said. “We in the Serb Republic prevented Bosnia and Herzegovina from voting for sanctions. Of course, it was difficult for us to overcome the pressure from Brussels and Washington, but we remained consistent in our decision.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that the leaders of the Serb Republic were sanctioned by the United Kingdom and the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
