She was charged with distributing extremist information and violating the procedure for holding mass events, minor offenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although \u0160abunia was subpoenaed to appear in court on February 21, the hearing was held on February 16, the Belarusian Association of Journalists reported. The ruling is unknown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the journalist, who now lives abroad, authorities charged her after studying her social media. They accused her of subscribing to an &#8220;extremist&#8221; media outlet and posting a photo of the opposition red-white flag and the Ukrainian and Polish flags.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;They categorized this photo as an unauthorized picket,&#8221; \u0160abunia said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Judge Michai\u0142 Jur\u010danka presided over the case.
