February 21, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Belarusian and Zimbabwean defense officials signed a joint action plan in the military sphere yesterday in Harare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian defense ministry reported that the signing ceremony was attended by Belarusian Ambassador Ihar Mar\u0161a\u0142a\u016d and Zimbabwean Ambassador Ignatius Graham Mudzimba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka’s visit to Zimbabwe in January 2023, an agreement was signed to establish a joint commission for cooperation between the two countries. He approved the document on May 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On January 26, Belarusian Interior Minister Ivan Kubrako\u016d visited Zimbabwe to sign a memorandum of cooperation between the two countries\u2019 law-enforcement agencies. According to the minister, \u0141uka\u0161enka \u201cordered to provide all possible assistance to our Zimbabwean friends.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On January 31, a similar memorandum was signed by Industry Minister Alaksandar Raho\u017enik and his Zimbabwean counterpart Sithembiso Gile Gladys Nyoni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian authorities intensified contacts with Zimbabwe in 2023, but there is no current data on bilateral trade. In 2022, it amounted to about $40 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
