Of them, 94 were sentenced to one to 23 years in prison. Thirteen were convicted of railway sabotage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At least 37 were convicted of sharing photos and videos of Russian military hardware with independent media. At least 15 were found guilty of planning to join the armed forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities prosecuted not less than 38 people for publicly denouncing Russian aggression and voicing solidarity with Ukraine and convicted 14 of donating to Belarusian volunteer fighters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over 1,500 people were arrested for anti-war protests in the first month and a half of the war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;In our country, people are still being persecuted and jailed for openly supporting Ukraine,&#8221; Viasna said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The largest anti-war protests took place on February 27 and 28, 2022. Belarusians protested in most regions, not just in the capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Security forces tortured and beat protesters.
