March 13, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> The Belarusian interior ministry’s antiterrorist unit Almaz and the Russian National Guard’s rapid response unit Rys have held a joint exercise in Belarus, the ministry’s newspaper Na Strazhe<\/em> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fighters practiced planning and carrying out “a special operation to free hostages and arrest armed criminals,” it said on Telegram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rosgvardiya officers also shared their experience in Ukraine war tactics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rosgvardiya Colonel Pavel Mitko said the drill “will allow us to perform our tasks, joint ones and in our regions, more efficiently in the future.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We shared our best practices and adopted the best Belarusian experience,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials in Minsk support Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, the largest military conflict in Europe since World War II. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian authorities provided the Russian military with territory to attack its neighbor in the winter and spring 2022. For months, Ukrainian cities were shelled from Belarus. Russian soldiers were also treated by doctors there.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
